Dogs are part of the family

I created this post so fellow dog lovers can tell their own stories about their dog family members. So first I will tell you about my two dogs. Princess is almost 5. She is a 6 lb Maltese. Freckle is a 2 year old beige beagle. They both share our home and get along well. Princess wasn't so sure when we first adopted Freckle, but she soon adjusted. Princess is very attached to her mommy (me) and will often wait on the top of the stairs until I come home. She also will follow me around the house and very rarely leaves my side. I recently bought her the steps to help her get up onto beds. She did not like it at first, but is finally getting used to using the steps. Freckle is very loving, but not the smartest dog. We also have a feeling she doesn't have the best eyesight, because once it gets dark, she tends to bark at trees and bushes in our yard. This limited site gets especially funny this time of year as we put out the holiday decorations, as do our neighbors. Freckle also does not like baths, and now runs and hides if she hears the bath water (even when its not for her!)
